BREATHITT COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18) – The trial of a woman accused of murdering her roommate ended with a guilty verdict Wednesday.
Court officials say Imojean Daniel was convicted of the murder of Joy Turner in September of 2016. Family members found Turner shot in the head inside a mobile home on Longs Creek Road.
Officials say Daniel initially told police that Turned committed suicide but the medical examiner ruled it a homicide.
The jury recommended a sentence of 30 years.
