MURRAY, Ky. (WPSD) — Police in Murray say a live grenade was found downtown, sparking an evacuation of the area.
WPSD reports here that police closed the intersection of 5th and Poplar streets Tuesday afternoon after the device was found.
The report says the Kentucky State Police Hazardous Device Unit and the Paducah Police Bomb Squad determined the grenade was live and took it to another location to be destroyed.
