KNOX COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18)– A Knox County man and woman are facing child abuse charges after their 4- year-old son was allegedly locked in his room.
Police interviewed the boy and what he told them is difficult to hear.
The arrest report says the parents of the boy say they would lock him in his room for 15-20 minutes to punish him. But when police talked to the child, he says it was much longer.
24-year-old Nickalas Jorgensen and Natasha McBee, were arrested Aug. 17. Police went to their house on Valentines Branch Road to locate a child that had been allegedly locked in a room.
The arrest report says their 4-year-old’s room had a lock on it from the outside and his window was boarded with wood. He told police he would yell and scream for his parents to let him out.
The report also says police found feces on the floor and walls of the room, and holes in the room where the child would try to get out.
Both Jorgensen and McBee are facing multiple charges including child abuse and unlawful imprisonment.
