LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) — It was a busy night as Lexington police officers responded to two shootings, one of them deadly.
The first shooting happened just after 11:30 p.m. Monday in the parking lot off Campus Court at Red Mile.
Police say a man who had been shot was taken to the hospital with what appear to be non-life-threatening injuries.
Officers also found several vehicles with bullet holes in them.
According to police, witnesses described the suspect as a man in a red hoodie.
The second shooting happened less than two hours later at around 1 a.m.
Lexington police were called to the 200 block of Osage Court where they found two men with serious injuries.
One was taken to the hospital with life threatening injuries, and the other victim has died.
There is no word yet on any suspects.
Police are investigating both shootings at this time.
