FRANKFORT, Ky. (LEX 18) — Hundreds of protesters stood outside of the State Capitol on Saturday.
Some protesters were armed in front of the capitol as they listened to a bluegrass band. A confederate flag was also on site.
They say they are taking a stand for liberty and constitutional rights. They are also protesting some of the guidelines Governor Beshear has put in place, including wearing face masks and social distancing.
A group of around 100 people are protesting the government shut down in Frankfort today- many are carrying guns. Signs say things like “poverty kills too” and “no king but Jesus” @LEX18News pic.twitter.com/8AEFkDY2Ib
