FRANKFORT, Ky. (LEX 18) — Two COVID-19 testing sites will open up in Lexington starting next Monday.
The Kentucky Department for Public Health is partnering with the University of Kentucky and UK Healthcare to begin drive-up COVID-19 testing on UK's campus starting on August 24. The university is continuing its partnership with WildHealth, a Lexington-based company currently conducting COVID-19 testing for university students and employees.
"Whether it's those college students that are returning right now, or getting our students back into the classroom ... making sure that we have available, easy testing is critical," said Gov. Beshear.
Testing will be available seven days a week from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the following locations:
- 1350 Bull Lea Road, Lexington, KY 40511
- 1505 College Way, Lexington, KY 40502
Free testing will be available to those who schedule an appointment. Click here to register.
UK has required testing for all students who plan to be on campus this fall and has offered to test employees who plan to be on university grounds. Testing at five sites on campus started August 3. Undergraduate classes began August 17.
