FRANKFORT, Ky. (LEX 18) — Gov. Andy Beshear announced Monday that there are 275 new COVID-19 cases and two new coronavirus-related deaths in the state of Kentucky.

Gov. Beshear says the number of cases reported Monday should be next to a "giant asterisk."

On Sunday, Gov. Beshear said the week's positive COVID-19 numbers were 300 fewer than the week before.

He began his Monday press conference saying the full report from last week's numbers were not included because the system used to report the numbers was going through an update.

Gov. Beshear says he expects the numbers from last week to be similar to the numbers from the week before.

In-person attendance for schools has been pushed back to September 28.
