BOURBON COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18) — A Bourbon County man has been arrested for arson and attempted murder.

According to the Bourbon County Sheriff's Office Facebook page, 47-year-old Chris Brozowsky, who lived at the home that was burned, poured accelerant in the hallway to set the house on fire.

Brozowsky then left the house, according to officials. The crime occurred on Jan. 3 just prior to midnight on Gillespie Road.

Deputies said another man was inside and was able to get out safely after hearing a smoke detector.

Brozowsky was located in Montgomery County where deputies went and picked him up before bringing him back to Bourbon County for investigation.

He was then charged on arson in the first degree and attempted murder. He was taken to the Bourbon County Detention Center.
