FRANKFORT, Ky. (LEX 18) — Gov. Andy Beshear announced on Monday night that there are two additional cases of the coronavirus in Kentucky, bringing the state's total to six.

Beshear said that the two cases came from Fayette and Harrison County. Of the six coronavirus cases in Kentucky, three are from Harrison County, two are from Fayette County and one is in Jefferson County.

"It is expected, and we are ready," Beshear said. "The most important thing for the public is to remain calm, to practice good hygiene and understand that we are all going to get through this. We are going to get through it together and by having good practice. As time goes on, we will have more positive cases, we need to expect that."

Beshear noted that 13 tests were run on Monday; two came back positive while the other 11 came back negative.
