The Local Superintendents Advisory Council met virtually on Tuesday to discuss a number of topics, including a change to yearly nontraditional instruction days.
The council voted to change the procedure for approving NTI days in order for Kentucky school districts to be able to move fluidly in and out of virtual learning as needed.
Districts can now apply for yearly approval for NTI days, with no cap on the number of virtual learning days a district can implement.
Previously, the number of NTI days was capped at about 10, usually reserved for inclement weather.
