FRANKFORT, Ky. (LEX 18) — Frankfort police have issued an arrest warrant for an individual wanted for a shooting that happened earlier this month.
Officers have issued a murder warrant for Justin L. Cromer, 28, in connection with the shooting death of Anthony Hendrix in East Frankfort Park on Labor Day.
Police told LEX 18 that the shooting occurred at a private event in the early evening hours. Hendrix was a Cincinnati native.
"In this time of situation, 25 years old, a sudden event, families don't have the ability to prepare for this... It's not a terminal disease. It's traumatic," said Captain Dustin Bowman.
Frankfort Police say that Cromer played football at Kentucky State University.
Cromer is believed to be outside of the state.
