LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) — A 4-year-old is in critical condition after he was shot at the Falcon Crest Apartments on Centre Parkway.
Police say they received a call shortly before 4:00 a.m. Sunday. The boy was taken to the hospital.
We're told the Personal Crimes Unit and the Crimes Against Children Unit are part of the investigation.
Police confirmed the shooting was "accidental" but did not elaborate on what led up to the child's injury.
No one has been charged at this time. The investigation is ongoing.
