Outbreak Of Gun Violence In Louisville This Weekend: 11 Shot Within 24 hours

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (LEX 18) – 11 people were shot within 24 hours in Louisville this weekend.

Police say two people were killed and the other 9 are recovering.

The outbreak of gun violence started at 6:30 on Saturday morning when a man was found shot to death on the 800 block of Cecil Avenue, according to Metrosafe.

5 separate shootings were reported after that one took place.

We’re told the other deadly shooting happened just before 1:30 Sunday morning in the Park Hill neighborhood. Police say a group of men in their 20s and 30s were near a liquor store when several of them were shot, and one of them died.

Police say they’re investigating whether any of these incidents are related.
