LAWRENCEBURG, Ky. (LEX 18) – The woman who claims the fatal shooting of her boyfriend was an accident appeared in court Thursday.
Jordan Witt, 18, is accused of killing Kyle York. State police believe that Witt was under the influence of drugs when she picked up a .22 caliber pistol and shot the victim.
Detectives testified that Witt claimed that she believed the pistol was a BB gun.
The case will be sent to a grand jury after the judge found probable cause to waive the case. Witt remains in jail on a $500,000 bond.
