LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) — Lexington police have identified the two victims found shot to death inside a vehicle on Lexington’s east side.

Authorities said they were called out just after 3:45 a.m. to Race Street just south of 3rd Street in the East End neighborhood.

Police said they found the victims inside a vehicle, dead of apparent gunshot wounds.

Fayette County Coroner Gary Ginn said both victims were shot multiple times. He later identified the victims as Heather Grigsby, 28 and Shannon Goodwin, 44.

Authorities said the victims were found inside a car that had no tags.

At this time, police said they do not have any witnesses or suspects in the crime.

The deaths come as Lexington police have responded to a spate of shootings all week in the city. Just Tuesday, a man was killed when someone shot him through the back door of a home in the Masterson Station neighborhood.
