The U.S. Geological Survey is reporting a small earthquake hit far northwestern Tennessee just before 7 a.m.

Officials said the 3.6 magnitude temblor struck about seven miles north of Dyersburg, Tennessee, and could be felt in parts of Kentucky.
The quake was detected about 10 miles underground, authorities said.
