CLAY COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18) – A man faces multiple charges in Clay County after police say he led them on a chase into the river.
Manchester Police officers were patrolling around 2:30 on Sunday morning when they found Christopher Collins on a bicycle pulling a small cart.
Police say when officers tried to talk to Collins, he took off on his bicycle, crashed and jumped into the river.
Collins was found clinging to a tree branch, but still tried to swim away from officers.
He was treated at a medical center before being taken to jail.
