LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) – A crowd is marking five years since the murder of Antonio Franklin with a peace walk on Saturday night.

Franklin died on April 13th, 2014 at Duncan Park when he was caught in the crossfire of three teenagers.

To honor Franklin’s life his family, friends, and community members are walking the surrounding neighborhoods in hopes of bringing an end to gun violence.

“Although I’m sad in some ways today my soul is happy I know Antonio and I know his loss of life is healing many many people,” said Anita Franklin, Antonio’s mother.
