LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) — Lexington police and emergency crews were called out early Sunday to a shooting victim found on the city’s near east side.
Authorities responded about 7:45 a.m. to the 200 block of Race Street.
A resident said he saw paramedics who appeared to be administering chest compressions to someone outside.
Few details have been released, but officials tell LEX 18 that one person was taken to an area hospital with a gunshot wound. Police said he was in serious condition.
Police said they had not made any arrests. Officials said police were looking for a specific suspect but they did not immediately provide a description of that suspect.
