JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (LEX 18) Coach Calipari confirms that PJ Washington will not play tonight against Abilene Christian University.
Coach Calipari confirmed that Washington would not play Thursday night via Twitter.
Specialists confirmed that Washington had sprained his foot during the matchup with Tennessee. He was spotted Tuesday wearing a boot on his foot. UK officials said the boot was a “precautionary” measure. Now, the sophomore forward is wearing a hard cast.
The specialists confirmed our original diagnosis that @PJWashington has a sprained foot and there is no fracture. Once we determined that PJ was not going to play today, they put him in a hard cast for precautionary reasons. He is out for today’s game.
