MARION, Ind. (LEX 18)– Police in Marion, Indiana were called out to a report of a self-inflicted gunshot wound Wednesday.
When they arrived at the hospital, they discovered a 46-year-old male who had accidentally shot himself in the genitals.
The man told officers that he was walking with a gun in the waistband of his pants without a holster. The Hi-Point 9mm gun began to slip.
He reached down to adjust the weapon and accidentally fired a shot just above his penis. The bullet exited his scrotum.
Police say the man did not have an Indiana Handgun Licenses. The case will be sent to prosecutors.
