Enjoy one more relatively quiet day Tuesday before active weather hammers the Commonwealth later in the week. An Ohio River valley heavy rain/flood threat is setting up with rounds of torrential rain firing and refiring mainly Wednesday night through Thursday. Rainfall will top out in the 2″-4″+ range with flash flooding possible. We’ll also need to watch for a few strong to severe storms in the same time frame with the highest threat over western Kentucky. Beyond that? A snap back to early February reality as much colder air rushes in for the weekend.
