MADISON COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18) – The search for missing Madison County mother Savannah Spurlock continues this weekend despite messy conditions.

On Saturday afternoon the Cajun Coast Search and Rescue team and volunteers scoured the Kentucky River looking for any sign of her, so far nothing has turned up.

Crews were concerned they weren’t going to be able to get boats in the water due to muddy conditions, but leaders with the search and rescue squad say they couldn’t afford a day off.

They tell us there weren’t any specific tips that led them to search the Kentucky River, but they wanted to rule it out.

Spurlock is a 22-year-old mother of four who vanished a month ago. She was last seen leaving a Lexington bar with two men in the early morning hours. She also Facetimed her mother later on saying that she was okay, but she never came home.

Those men were questioned, along with a third man. They all say they had nothing to do with her disappearance. Police have not named any suspects.

The search crew plans to resume operations on Sunday.
