LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) – Lexington police are investigating two separate auto-pedestrian crashes on Saturday night.

The first crash happened before 7:30p.m. at the intersection of Devonport Drive and Village Drive.

Police say an older man was crossing the street when he was hit by a silver car with dark tinted windows. Reportedly the car then sped off.

The man was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Police are now trying to find the driver of the silver car. If you have any information about this case you are asked to call police.

Officers tell us the second incident happened at about 8:00p.m. on New Circle Road near Meadow Lane.

Police say a man was trying to cross the street when he was hit by an SUV.

The driver did stop and remained on scene until police arrived.

Police tell us the driver is not facing charges at this point because the man was not crossing at a crosswalk.
