COLUMBUS (WCMH) – Columbus police officers say a kindergarten student was found carrying a handgun.
NBC affiliate WCMH reports that someone called the Africentric school and said that a student was walking in with what appeared to be a heavy object in their pants. The student was stopped at the door and a gun was taken.
The school resource officer took the gun from school staff.
The Columbus police gun crime unit is investigating. The child will not be charged due to his age.
