LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) — Police arrested a man early Friday morning after a shooting on Lexington’s far north side.
Officials say 33-year-old Austin Woodford McDaniel was charged in the case.
Authorities say the shooting happened about 1:30 a.m. inside a residence along Mark Avenue near the intersection of Georgetown Road and Citation Boulevard.
The victim was shot multiple times, police said.
One man was taken to the University of Kentucky Medical Center. Officials tell LEX 18 that the man was stable.
Police say the two men know one another and were in an argument when the shooting happened.
Authorities said McDaniel left the scene but was found a short time later nearby.
McDaniel was charged with first-degree assault.
He was being held in the Fayette County Detention Center.
