Report: Frankfort Police ID Suspect In Officer-Involved Shooting

FRANKLIN COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18) — Police in Frankfort have identified a man injured Friday in a police-involved shooting after a pursuit.

The State Journal reports that police say 38-year-old Zindell Lindle is facing a slate of charges after allegedly fleeing a traffic stop.

The incident began around 3 a.m. on U.S. Highway 127 at Westridge Road and ended at Leonardwood Drive near the Kroger.

Kentucky State Police said its troopers became involved after a pursuit by Frankfort Police.

Lindle was shot and underwent surgery at Frankfort Regional Hospital.

An officer was also injured during the incident, but not by gunfire. He is at Frankfort Regional Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police also arrested 33-year-old Sherry Lindle, who they said interfered with their attempts to take Zindell Lindle into custody.

Sherry Lindle was charged with second-degree disorderly conduct, obstructing governmental operations, second-degree hindering prosecution or apprehension, and resisting arrest.
