Tracking Cold December Reality

Posted
and last updated

Hopefully you enjoyed those late weekend highs in the 60s- it all goes away this week! Brace for an extended early December cold snap and an unsettled week to boot. We’re much colder Monday with highs barely in the 40s, cloudy skies and sprinkles possible. Watch for a few rain to snow showers overnight as we drop close to freezing. Patchy, light freezing rain & drizzle will be possible as well as a few slick spots for your Tuesday morning commute. The depth of the moisture & cold are limited so it shouldn’t be a big issue.

Beyond that? Cold lingers with below average highs in the 30s in the Bluegrass to 40s south the rest of the week. We are tracking the potential for winter weather this weekend. At this point the low is far enough south it could be a bigger problem for the east coast.
