TAYLOR COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18) – Officials have identified the suspect in a standoff situation in Taylor County.

It started around 3:30 p.m. Sunday afternoon at a home in Campbellsville.

Law enforcement was called to Friendship Pike on a domestic dispute call.

When they arrived a female victim told deputies her estranged husband, Kenneth Losch, had broken in and hit her in the head several times with a pistol.

He left before deputies got there, but was later found at his home.

When deputies got to his home, they heard several shots from inside.

After several hours, police were able to make their way inside where they found Losch with a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

He was flown to Louisville for treatment.

There is no word on his condition, or the victim’s.

Police are still investigating the incident.
