Kentucky Takes Down North Dakota 96-58

Lexington, Ky. — the Kentucky men’s basketball team defeated North Dakota 96-58 Wednesday night at Rupp Arena.

Kentucky was led by PJ Washington who had 25 points including a career high 4 made 3-pointers.

Tyler Herro added 18 points, but was even more impressive on the defensive end with 5 steals.

The Wildcats shot 53 percent from the field and out-rebounded North Dakota 45-15 and outscoring them 46-18 in the paint

There were a few bumps within the first couple of minutes for UK, trailing 5-1 early on, but the Cats started to get things going thanks to a 15-0 run and eventually coasting to a 46-25 lead at halftime.

Tyler Herro got off to a hot start in the second half. A steal and a dunk followed by a transition 3 pointer pushed Kentucky’s lead to 57-32.

The it was PJ Washington’s turn, scoring 6 straight points to put the Cats up 64-36 with 11:57 to play. Washington would have a career high in 3 pointers made with 4. He only missed one all night.
