GEORGETOWN, Ky. (LEX 18) -The Scott County Coroner tells LEX 18 that a Georgetown man killed the mother of his two children and then himself.
The two were found dead in an apartment on Degaris Mill Road in Scott County on Thursday.
Officials say that their toddler was left unharmed. A 4-year-old child the couple shared was not at home at the time.
Police say someone inside of the apartment was texting or calling a friend and told them someone had a gun. That friend then called 911. Responding officers then heard three muffled shots.
Emergency responders staged around the home and then made entry.
Inside they found 26-year-old Brent M. Woods and 26-year-old Nicole L. Stininger, and their 18-month-old who was unharmed.
Friends tell LEX 18 that no one saw this coming. A family friend started a gofundmepage for funeral expenses and for the couple’s two children.
