TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) – Three children and two adults were hit by a vehicle at a Tampa school bus stop, WFLA reports.
All five people were transported to local hospitals, one child is in critical condition. The NBC affiliate reports that the parents and kids were waiting on the bus when they were struck by a car driving at a high rate of speed.
When emergency crews arrived there were injured people with shoes and backpacks scattered around.
Officials estimate the children are between 6 and 12 years old.
The driver remained at the scene and was detained by officials.
