Funeral Arrangements Announced For Anita Madden

LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) – Funeral arrangements have been announced for Lexington socialite and humanitarian, Anita Madden.

Madden passed away Thursday with her family and friends by her side. Madden was known best for her Derby Eve Parties in Lexington. They were star-studded events that hosted celebrities and received national recognition.

Madden was also a philanthropist and equestrian.  Madden’s family owned Hamburg Place Horse Farm and made several contributions to the thoroughbred industry.

Visitation for Madden will be held Wednesday, October 3 from 2 p.m. until 6 p.m. at Milward Man o’ War Funeral Home on Trent Boulevard.

The Madden family is planning a private funeral service.
