Five Arrested After Disturbance On Lake Cumberland

WAYNE COUNTY, Ky. (WKYM/LEX 18) – Five people were arrested on Sunday after an early morning disturbance on Lake Cumberland.

Our radio partners at WKYM report that a Fish and Wildlife officer was returning a teen to his mother at the Beaver Creek Marina, when he heard a woman scream. The officer says he then heard yelling and cursing between several people so he stopped their boat near the Marina.

Reportedly all 5 aboard the pontoon were extremely intoxicated with no sober driver.

Randall D. Carrender, 49, Brittany Guffey, 28, Jamie Hicks,41,  of Monticello, Maria Hammond, 28 of Somerset and Samantha Etter, 23, of Somerset were all were arrested for alcohol intoxication in a public place.  Carrender and Guffey were additionally charged with disorderly conduct.

The five were lodged in the Wayne County Detention Center.
