ANDERSON COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18)- An Anderson County man has been indicted in the death of a teen and her unborn baby following a crash on US 127.
18-year-old Colton Willard was indicted by a grand jury for reckless homicide, fetal homicide, and fourth-degree assault.
The crash happened back in May near the Valero gas station on the US 127 bypass at Kentucky highway 151. 18-year-old Kaytlynn Doss was killed, along with her unborn daughter. KSP said that she had been ejected from the Jeep Grand Cherokee and died from her injuries.
Kentucky State Police Detectives determined through investigation, Kaytlynn Doss was operating the vehicle at the time of the collision. Colton Willard, age 18, of Lawrenceburg Ky. was the front seat passenger. Two additional passengers were seated in the rear of the vehicle. Vanessa Walker, age 20, of Lawrenceburg Ky. sustained serious injuries. Amber Hoak, age 26, of Lawrenceburg, suffered minor injuries.
On August 21, 2018, The Anderson County Grand Jury returned an indictment charging Willard with reckless homicide, fetal homicide 4th degree, and assault 4th degree. Colton Willard was arrested and served the indictment warrant, at the Lawrenceburg Police Department, on August 28, 2018 and has been lodged in the Shelby County Detention Center.
