TAYLOR COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18)– Some residents of a Taylor County nursing home are having to find a new place to live because it is being removed form the Medicare program.
Officials at the Grandview Nursing and Rehabilitation Facility say the state received complaints about alleged neglect and abuse at the facility, and investigators made multiple visits.
The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services gave notice earlier this month, that the facility would not be participating in the Medicare program.
Now, 89 residents will be looking for another place to stay.
“If it wasn’t for this place i feel like my grandmother would’ve already passed away.”
A statement says that patients receiving medicare and medicaid will be moved to other facilities across the state.
