Police: Man Shot In Grant Co. Names Alleged Killer In 911 Call

GRANT COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18) — Police arrested a man after a fatal shooting Saturday night, and authorities say the victim named his alleged killer in a 911 call.

Kentucky State Police say Grant County 911 received a call from 51-year-old Barry Kenner, saying he had been shot.

Officials said Kenner also named 39-year-old Paul James Jr. of Corinth as the assailant.

Kenner was airlifted to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center, where he later was pronounced dead.

After investigation the shooting, police arrested James in connection with the slaying.

James was being held in the Grant County Detention Center.
