Warren County Sheriff’s Office Investigating Infant Abandoned

WARREN COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18) – The Warren County Sheriff’s Office is investigating after an infant was abandoned outside of a fire station.

Reportedly deputies were called just before 6:45a.m. on Saturday for an infant that was located at the Gott Fire Station on Porter Pike.

According to the Sheriff’s Office, a passerby noticed the baby sitting inside of a box and left unattended, so they called authorities.

EMS responded and took the infant to a nearby hospital. Reportedly the baby is alive, but investigators are now trying to figure out who abandoned the baby and why.
