CORBIN, Ky. (LEX 18) – Heavy rain caused flooding in Corbin and other parts of southern Kentucky on Saturday evening.
Master Street is one area that was impacted by flash flooding.
Several roads in town had to be shut down because they were covered with water, and floodwaters also surrounded some homes and businesses.
Storm drains were backed up and overflowing even hours after the rain passed.
"At first not too good. Hydroplaning and stuff. But after that it was fine. Nice n slow. Just creeping along. Trying to get to our destination," said Corbin Resident Natasha Sizemore.
Officials say the water should recede and things will be back to normal by Sunday.
