JACKSON COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18) – A woman is dead following an accident north of Mckee.
Kentucky State Police were called Friday just after 7:20 p.m., in reference to a two vehicle collision that occurred on US-421.
Officials say 28-year-old Melinda A. Parker, of London, was driving north on US-421 with a young child, and crossed the centerline before colliding head-on with a truck operated by Frank Revel.
As a result of the collision, Parker was fatally injured and pronounced deceased at the scene by the coroner. Her juvenile passenger was airlifted to the UK Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
