GARRARD COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18)– Less than a week after a massive fire at Rocky Top Furniture, the community is coming together to support the iconic business.
Marksbury Farm was at the business Thursday afternoon to lift the employee’s spirits by grilling out for lunch.
Rocky Top says its been tough to go on after a fire destroyed multiple buildings on their property on Friday.
The furniture company wants to let people know that they’re still open while they are assessing the damage, and if you have already ordered furniture they will still make it, it might just take a little longer.
One employee got tears in her eyes while talking about the outpouring of love and support they’ve gotten.
“It has been just astounding at how many phone calls, emails, social media messages, just making sure we are okay and extending their sympathies," said Angel Best. "So we just want to say thank you to all of our customers and let them know we love them.”
Rocky Top Furniture would like to thank all of the fire departments who came to put out the fire, they say without them nothing would be salvaged.
