Man pleads guilty but mentally ill in connection to arsons on Warnock Street in 2018

LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) — Robert Bruce Stevens pled guilty but mentally ill to arson and burglary charges in connection to arsons on Warnock Street in July 2018.

He was ordered to pay restitution of $2,400.

Stevens was sentenced to 10 years, pending presentence investigation. His next sentencing is scheduled for March 2.

Police say Stevens has been charged with four counts of wanton endangerment and two counts of criminal mischief for fires in July 2018 at 257 Warnock Street.

There had been 12 fires in the area since September 2017. Officials said within ten months, multiple fires were intentionally set at 519 Goodloe St., 519 ½ Goodloe St., and 234 Warnock Street.
