CHRISTIAN COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18) — Authorities are investigating after a 4-year-old girl drowned Saturday afternoon at at state park beach in Christian County.
The child died about 4 p.m. at Pennyrile Forest State Resort Park.
LEX 18 is told a park ranger tried to perform CPR on the girl but was unable to revive the child.
The county coroner pronounced the girl dead at the scene.
Her body was taken to the state medical examiner’s office for an autopsy.
