MARSHALL COUNTY, Ky. (WPSD)– The Marshall County School District has hired four new people to help keep students safe next school year.Next month, deputies J.T. Coleman, Steve Hendley, Jason Young, and Stephen Robinson will join Sergeant Ray Chumbler as school resource officers.Marshall County Sheriff Kevin Byars tells WPSD the four new hires are all retired, with more than 100 years of experience among them.Officials say one officer will be stationed at South Middle School and another at North Middle School. The other three officers will be stationed at Marshall County High School, the site of a deadly shooting that happened back in January.
