Jackson Co. Inmate Facing Escape Charges After Leaving Jail

JACKSON COUNTY, Ky (LEX 18) The Jackson County Jailer said that a state inmate is now facing an added charge of escape 2nd after climbing through the fence in the recreation area and getting out.He said it happened around 3:35 p.m.The jailer was headed home and said he saw the inmate, Daryl Evans, running across the road into the woods.The jailer said he pulled across the road and told him to stop and he turned himself in.The jailer said he was out of the jail for less than an hour. Evans was originally facing charges of receiving stolen property.
