We’re in a quiet & very summery pattern this week with partly sunny skies, isolated pm showers & storms and highs in the upper 80s near 90° Monday & Tuesday. A cool front may spark scattered showers & storms Wednesday.
Tropical Storm Chris is nearly stationary off the Carolina coast and is slowly getting stronger. It will likely become the second hurricane of the Atlantic season Monday and stay off the coast for a couple more days before tracking northeast midweek. Vacationers beware- it may be off the coast but it’s generating dangerous rip currents, high surf & coastal erosion along with generally miserable beach weather.
