LYONS COUNTY, Ky. (WPSD) – Three people were injured when a fireworks display exploded in Lyons County, Kentucky.
In a number of videos you can see people dodging sparks shooting out in all directions.
Witnesses say a local business hosts this fireworks show every year but this time, something went wrong.
Lyon County’s Emergency Manager says the fireworks were under the legal limit, so they didn’t need a permit to shoot them off.
He tells us one person was taken to a burn unit in Nashville, the other two were treated at local hospitals.
No word yet on their conditions Sunday night.
The investigation continues into what caused the explosion.
