Campbellsville Works To Clean Up After Storm

Posted

CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. (LEX 18) –  After last night’s storms, Emergency Management Officials took a look at the damage that hit Taylor County.

Winds hit almost 80 miles per hour during yesterday’s storms.  Trees took down power lines and even a deputy’s cruiser.  Emergency management tells LEX 18 that they received multiple calls from people reporting that they were trapped in their homes.

Fire and rescue managed to get everyone out safely.

The National Weather Service says that the damage was caused by Microburst winds

The areas that took the brunt of the storm were Brookside and Bell Avenue and the Forest Hills neighborhood.

Cleanup is underway as the community works to clear the damage.
