LAUREL COUNTY, Ky (LEX 18) A Laurel County man charged in the death of his infant daughter was sentenced to 10 years for manslaughter and criminal abuse.
35-year-old Gary Nicely was arrested in August 2016 after his seven-week-old daughter, Mia, died of severe head trauma. Investigators also arrested his wife, Jessica, in connection to the death and abuse allegations.
During the three-day trial, Jessica testified that she was not home when the injuries occurred.
She was found innocent on all charges.
