LEXINGTON, Ky (LEX 18) Lexington Police are concerned that a man at the center of a string of robberies in Bryan Station may hurt someone or get hurt himself.

"He’s either going to go to jail for a very long time, to the point where this is not recoverable for him in his life, or he’s going to end up dead, and we don’t want to see that happen to anybody," said Detective Mark Thomas with the Lexington Police Department.

Thomas said that police believe the man is responsible for at least five robberies at various businesses, including the Dollar General and Cash Express. The man has a very distinct M.O. he wears a camo mask, gloves, sunglasses, and he comes in and starts screaming at people.

Starting on April 20, the man has had a tendency to strike every fourth day.

"There’s probably more, that we haven’t put together yet. maybe in other jurisdictions," he said. "He’s going to do some jail time for it, there’s no way around it, but more importantly, this guy needs to break this pattern."

The biggest concern is that someone might inadvertently break his streak for him, which could have consequences greater than those incurred for stealing a few hundred dollars.

"Somebody is not going to be intimidated by him and they’re going to hurt him, or he’s going to hurt them, and then this guy’s life is going to be over," said Thomas.
